Function Republic consists of 30 exceptionally skilled musicians and tech engineers. We don’t use deps or contract musicians as every band member is a committed, long-term member of our team.
Each musician is carefully selected for their outstanding talent and undergoes extensive training to consistently deliver the signature Function Republic experience. This ensures that no matter the lineup, the music, energy, and interaction remain infused with the same passion and unique FR flair.
Our approach has allowed us to grow sustainably, confidently manage illness without ever canceling bookings, accommodate maternity leave, and deploy multiple teams simultaneously during high-demand peak dates.

The band lineup will be determined by the date and location of your event, as well as the availability of the performers.
The specific individuals for an event will be determined by Function Republic, based on band member availability and logistics. Every member of the Function Republic team undergoes the same extensive training and performs the show in the same Function Republic style, which is how we guarantee the Function Republic experience every time.

Our acts require the following performance spaces;
DJ - Require 3m x 3m (WxD)
4pc Line-Up’s – Require 4m x 3m (WxD)
5pc Line-Up’s – Require 5m x 3m (WxD)
9pc Line-Up’s – Require 6m x 3.5m (WxD)
The above are optimum guideline requirements, please note our acts can fit into smaller performance spaces if required.

Yes, all of our bands are sound limiter friendly.
Please notify the band if any Sound limiters are in force at your event, our team are extremely experienced in-dealing with sound limiters, however it’s essential we are notified prior to the event so we can bring the correct equipment spec for your event.

Our acts are covered by full PLI (Public Liability Insurance) up-to (5m). Documentation is provided for all clients upon booking.
Function Republic agree to supply all professional equipment in excellent working order, along with PAT testing certification provided upon booking.

Our bands set-list’s have been carefully refined over the years to keep dance-floors in full swing throughout the night.
We strongly recommend keeping the bands show in its current form so the team can deliver their best for you on the big day, however we can of tailor sets by using ‘Swaps’ of between 5-6 songs with others from the bands wider repertoire.

Yes, the team would be honoured to perform your first dance for you. For the vast majority of first dance request’s our team will be familiar already with the material and will specially arrange this for your big day.
